During the doom-and-gloom of the pandemic lockdowns, we began having real conversations about our future and our passions. How do we help improve our food supply chain? How do we do agribusiness the right way?
Our search for answers led us to create Deccan Mudra. Under the guidance of Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce of Telangana (GCOT), we formed partnerships with farmers growing Telangana Sona - a new, healthier alternative to the popular sona masuri rice. We believe Telangana Sona has a massive global market as people seek healthier and climate-smart food.
Our founders have several years of experience in the food industry, sales, marketing and..well.. in cooking, critiquing, and relishing our beloved annam.
A non-profit group focused on empowering rural communities, connecting farmers with right-minded agribusiness companies.
Creators of Telangana Sona variety of rice. Our farmers get free crop guidance and access to trainings on yield, pest and water management conducted by senior scientists.
We are a group of social entrepreneurs passionate about reviving India's farming villages. Through our partnerships, we are building a food system that is better for farmers and better for our customers.
